Our School is a popular school for students aged 11-18 with approximately 1000 students on roll including a thriving sixth form. We are proud to offer our students a rich and supportive learning environment.  We are situated in a highly desirable location in Buckinghamshire in the beautiful Chiltern Hills with a wide range of available amenities. To complement the surrounding rural location, the school is well placed for commuting to London with an excellent rail service, we are also well served by the M40 which directly links to Oxford.

The English Department is vibrant and high achieving. Lessons are exciting and varied, offering learners a chance to become independent learners who strive for the highest standards.  We enable our students to ‘Aspire and Achieve’ through a wide variety of visits and creative experiences. Our goal as a department is to foster a love of English and literature, and to inspire our exceptional students to achieve their full potential!

You will need to have a strong subject knowledge and be able to teach students of all abilities and ages. As well as this you will be highly organised, with excellent communication and time management skills and will actively get involved with our ongoing efforts to become a fast-improving school.

Our school was judged as “good” in all categories by Ofsted in November 2022.
