Head of Science
This position is full time, permanent and to commence in September 2025
Our School is a popular school for students aged 11-18 with approximately 1000 students on roll. We are situated in High Wycombe in close proximity to a wide range of available amenities. The school is well placed for commuting to London with an excellent rail service, we are also well served by the M40 which directly links to Oxford.
We’re looking to appoint a highly motivated Head of Science who can inspire our exceptional students and drive them forward to achieve even better results. You would have the support of our Trust Science Lead.
You will need to have a strong subject knowledge and be able to teach students of all abilities and ages. As well as this you will be highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills and have the enthusiasm and energy to join a high performing team striving for excellence. This role would suit a candidate who already has leadership experience.
This role includes the line management of the teachers in the department, the strategic development of the subject area and the continued improvement of student’s attainment in the subject from KS3 to KS5. This role also requires a post holder who is passionate about developing the schools CPD offer and the fostering of a school-based research culture. We also believe that parents are a key group that would benefit from regular academic information to ensure they understand the way and the information their child is learning.
