Teacher of Art to commence September 2025
This is a permanent position – TPS plus Fringe – Part time (0.7fte+)

We are looking for a well-qualified teacher of Art who has the enthusiasm to motivate students in all aspects of Art & Design at this 11-18 grammar school for boys with a co-educational Sixth Form.
Our school has 1370 students, of which 450 are in the co-educational Sixth Form. The school has been judged to be Outstanding in a full section 5 inspection under the new Education Inspection Framework. It is regarded as one of the leading grammar schools in the country. As lead in the Teaching School Hub – Buckinghamshire we provide an exciting range of professional development opportunities.
The Visual Arts team are accommodated in a suite of spacious classrooms, several of which provide a bright and clean environment for learning. Facilities currently include two large kilns, photographic studio, and a purpose-built display area in a prominent position by the main school hall. The department also has a number of Digital SLR
cameras, a set of iPad pros and a printing press.
Students follow a Visual Arts Programme at KS3 which aims to promote a lifelong understanding and engagement with the visual World. At KS4 students follow the Fine Art title of the AQA specification for GCSE Art & Design and Fine Art is available as an A level option on the AQA specification.
The team is committed to the school ethos of developing a breadth of opportunity for our students, and this is seen through a range of activities which include photography club, clay club and the Bronze Arts Award. Drama and musical productions draw on expertise from the Visual Arts team for set design and publicity materials, while the annual Art exhibition demonstrates the high quality of work students produce. The school’s leadership is very open to colleagues exploring new opportunities for the wider development of students.
