We are looking for a Teacher of Business & Economics to commence in September 2025

Pay scale in line with MPS/UPS

A co-educational, independent day and boarding school in Southern Lancashire is looking for a well-qualified and passionate teacher to join their Business Studies team.  The school has approximately 900 students including and caters for children aged 3-18 with their senior, junior, infant and pre-schools.

We aim to provide an excellent, all-round education for our students that develops the whole child.  Our core values of Family ethos, Inspirational Teaching and Fulfilling potential run through everything we do.

Our academic results compare well above national averages with 27% of pupils achieving A*,A at A Level and within Business & Economics, we follow the AQA syllabus for Business at both GCSE and A Level and also offer Pearson BTEC Business at KS5. Economics is offered at KS5 and we follow the AQA A Level syllabus.

We are mainly a day school but accommodate approximately 80 pupils aged 11-18 in our boarding house.  The successful candidate will be able to deliver Business lessons across KS4 and 5 and the ability to teach Economics at KS5 is highly desirable. You will be flexible, positive in your approach, and able to work as part of a dynamic team. You will be willing to participate fully in a busy and successful school and the ability to assist with co-curricular activities is highly desirable.

We operate rigorous ‘safer recruitment’ practices, and the successful candidates will be required to undertake a criminal record check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The post is suitable for an ECT and we offer an excellent opportunity to receive support through our comprehensive ECT and CPD programme.
