We are looking for a Teacher of Business, Economics & Finance to commence in September 2025 (or before)

Pay scale MPS or UPS

(This position is permanent and can be full or part time)

Our school is an oversubscribed all ability 11-18 school, set in rural Buckinghamshire. The school is 30 minutes away from Oxford and also within easy commuting distance from Milton Keynes. There are just over 1000 students on roll, including 300 in the Sixth Form. The school has an excellent reputation for CPD and recognises and values the contributions of all staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new or experienced teacher to join a successful and supportive team of specialist teachers within the Business, Economics and Finance department in an Outstanding school. A good fit (for you, as well as for the school) matters, so we encourage part-time applications as well as any candidates who wish to develop their leadership potential.

You will have the ability, willingness or desire to teach Business, Economics and Finance to KS5.  We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, as we believe diversity enriches our teaching and inspires our students to thrive in an inclusive learning environment.  Business GCSE results perform in line with whole school outcomes. Economics at KS5 has consistently been rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.

Reasons staff enjoy working with us include:

A genuine commitment to the education of the whole child

High levels of expectations and discipline

Generous teaching/non-contact period per fortnight (42/50)

Positive relations between staff and students

There are realistic expectations regarding balancing family and leisure time and workload. Governors have recently changed the Admissions Policy to include children of staff members.

The post is suitable for an ECT and we offer an excellent opportunity to receive support through our comprehensive ECT and CPD programme.
