We are looking for a Teacher of Dance to commence in September 2024

This position is permanent and there may be accommodation available.

Our school is an HMC co-educational boarding and day school with 940 pupils that nurtures academic excellence, sporting success and creative talent.  The campus of 400 acres is situated on the edge of the South Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Dance to commence in September 2024.  The successful candidate will be a well-qualified graduate with the ability to teach Dance across the age range from year 1 to to KS5 level.

Dance has grown rapidly over recent years and is a key part of our thriving Performing Arts department.  All students take Dance at some point during their time at the school and we offer GCSE Dance, A Level Dance and BTEC Performing Arts.  Our students are exposed to a variety of genres of Dance and have a huge number of co-curricular Dance activities that they can get involved in.

We have a very successful Dance Scholars programme and showcase our students many talents in Performing Arts concerts, Scholars concerts and our Dance Shows.

The school ethos is all about maximising pupil potential and we are delighted that over the last few years, our results at both KS4 and 5 have been extremely pleasing!  We work hard to ensure that the strengths of every single student are recognised and valued.  We are keen to provide a holistic education for our pupils therefore our Performing Arts, Sport and Outdoor Education offerings are highly valued.

We welcome applications from both experienced and Early Career Teachers and provide an excellent support programme throughout their Induction and beyond. We offer extremely competitive rates of pay and a total of 18 weeks holiday per annum as well as an outstanding working environment. Accommodation may be available with this post.
