Our School is a popular school for students aged 11-18 with approximately 1000 students on roll. We are situated in a highly desirable location in Buckinghamshire in the Aylesbury Vale area with a wide range of available amenities. To complement the surrounding rural location, the school is well placed for commuting to London with an excellent rail service, we are also well served by the M40 which directly links to Oxford.
We are looking for a Teacher of PE to join our vibrant team. The mission of our Physical Education Department is to educate minds, develop healthy bodies, and promote positive attitudes towards lifetime physical activity, fitness, and sports skills. A high level of importance is placed on Physical Education here with all Year 7 -11 students receiving 2 hours of quality physical education, our aim is that each student will be empowered with the knowledge and skills necessary to make responsible lifestyle choices that directly impact his/her health and well-being.
The department is able to offer a wide range of activities in curriculum and extra-curricular hours given the fantastic facilities, these include a 5 badminton court sports hall, equipped with indoor cricket nets, fitness suite and dance studio. Outdoor facilities include tennis and netball courts as well as picturesque field space for 4 football pitches 1 rugby pitch and a new artificial cricket wicket. Students are given many opportunities to represent their school in a wide variety of sporting activities which they do with pride and a great deal of success at District, County and National levels.
